I went to enter a new blog entry this evening and cannot believe that I never posted the outcome of last Saturday's Championship game! In case I have left you hanging, the Pirates won 15 to 14 in one of the most exciting Little League games this mom has ever witnessed, and I am not exaggerating. One spectator was even overheard saying they would have paid good money to see this game. It was an emotional roller coaster with a sweet victory for my son's team. I am so proud! I have gotten completely carried away and made books of the season for our coaches as end of the year gifts from the team and a 25 minute slide show with video to music that has already made this mom cry a bit. It's been an amazing run and the credit goes to our wonderful coaches, great kids and families.
Our coach's motto is F.E.A.S.T. (Fun. Effort. Attitude. Sportsmanship. Teamwork.) and that is what our team lived by all season and it has been a great lesson to my son and each one of the kids on this team. Thank you coach Mike!
