The Social Butterfly Designs Fall holiday season officially launched this weekend with the annual Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair. It is hard to believe that this was my ninth year at this event -- where does time go? I always appreciate all the clients that stop by my booth every year and stock up on their annual supply of cards and it's good to see some new faces too. It is a very busy weekend (I think I logged almost 40 hours between Friday and Sunday) but definitely worthwhile...and fun to boot. On the downside, I had to miss a total of 3 soccer and 3 baseball games for my kids but luckily they were attended by family members. Over the course of the weekend, we had a little rain (very little, thankfully), a little sun and a lot of cloud cover. The attendance is always strong and it's good to see so many families out and about enjoying the day. This is one of the only street fairs I do every year and I walk away with a renewed admiration for all the talented vendors who do these events every weekend!
