Letterheady...a lovely adjective!

letterheady
–adjective
1. overcome by a strong emotion due to a letterhead design.

While perusing the Minted blog this evening I stumbled upon a particularly clever website called Letterheady that I was immediately caught up in. Those who know me well know that I love and appreciate all things paper and I find letterhead to be of worthy attention. So this site is a little gem in my eyes as it offers an online homage to offline correspondence -- specifically letterheads of the famous (from Albert Einstein to Charles Schultz), the infamous (from Hitler to The Nightstalker) and the corporate elite (from Pepsi Cola to IBM). I loved perusing the letterhead styles for these and many more (Elvis and The Rolling Stones are even included). Not sure if it's your thing or not but if it is, or if you're just curious, it's definitely worth taking a peek.

Here is a sneak peak at a few samplings from the website:

My Favorite Month

I guess it's a natural progression that my favorite week of the year would be followed by my favorite month of the year. I just love the {peace and tranquility} that to me, are found and satisfied in the month of January. The holidays are over for one and it's a time where I really just get to enjoy my family and life in general. So far I have celebrated by seeing 5 movies {which I am listing in order of enjoyment level, the highest rated being first -- although not a lemon in the bunch!}: "Up in the Air," "It's Complicated," "The Blind Side," "The Princess and the Frog" and "Invictus." I love to catch up on my movie-going in January and February so I am confident there are more movies in my future, maybe even a school day matinee...always a treat! I am getting back into doing some reading and have downloaded several books onto my Kindle including "The Help" which I am looking forward to getting started on.

This next one is kind of a shocker, even for me, I am actually enjoying spending time pouring through cookbooks & creating new recipes for my family! I have never been one to do this type of thing but ever since our kitchen was remodeled ({last year} I have found a new interest in creating in the kitchen much to the delight of my husband and family! A new family favorite recipe for all of us is Ina Garten's Mexican Tortilla Soup {click on the title for a link to the recipe...It's delicious!!}

Getting back to my women's Bible Study is something I am also very thankful for. I am part of a bible study that meets on Friday mornings with an amazing group of women of all ages and backgrounds and I had a chance to go back last Friday after a long absence during my "busy season." It's also the start of Basketball Season!! with my energetic husband coaching all three of our kids' teams this season! Our son plays in two leagues but he is only coaching one and they had their first game last night and won. I love to see the excitement from my son after winning a game. He's definitely learned about being on both sides of a game outcome so he was very happy about last night's results!

I also seem to be brimming over with new ideas & designs for my business and cannot wait to get rolling. I am feeling very inspired with the new year, the new decade and the possibilities that new beginnings bring. How about you? Are you feeling inspired and renewed too? Would love to hear from you!

xo,

Jill
