Art at Your Table Top

I am very excited to introduce a very special new product in the Social Butterfly Designs "Favorite Finds" line up....beautifully hand-blown glass salt and pepper shakers by Glass Act. I stumbled upon these beautiful finds at a charity boutique I partcipated in last Fall for the John Wayne Cancer Foundation. They were in the booth next to mine and I was especially enamored with these lovely salt and pepper shakers and decided to buy a set for my home (plus, I'm always happy to shop in honor of a good cause!). They really are tiny works of art and as beautiful to look at as they are to use. So, after a bit of time passed and our family had been enjoying our salt and pepper shakers , I decided that these would be a great new product to bring to my clients. So, I am happy to announce that effective immediately a selection of Glass Act wares are now are available on my website.Based in Santa Maria, California, husband and wife artists Chris & Tanya Bojorquez run the business and have been in the glass blowing trade for nearly 20 years. Each piece of glass has been individually crafted using a technique called lampworking. Lampworking is the process by which the artist works the glass over a small flame of intense heat, adding luxuriant colors and shaping the piece to the desired form. Borosilicate glass (known as pyrex) is used for this process, which contributes to the durability of the glass.

This is the pair I picked out for my home...love these!!

These fine salt and pepper shakers are collectibles and will be sure to be enjoyed by future generations. They make a great and unique gift for someone special too!

I have taken the opportunity to put together a little survey about
Valentine's Day.
I hope you might consider taking a moment to take a look and fill it out. Just click on one of the links above and you will be directed to the survey (it should only take a few minutes). The results are completely anonymous and will be posted on my blog next week! Thanks!
