Loving Liberty of London at Target

Have you been to Target this week? If so, then you've seen the delightful Liberty of London for Target collection currently on display. If not, then you've probably at the very least caught the newspaper, magazine or TV ads celebrating this whimsical and spirited line from England. I stopped in on Sunday to check it out and bought a couple of items, including the peacock feather patterned coffee mug, along with a little something for each of my two daughters. Evidently there was a mad rush the first thing on Sunday morning and by the time I arrived there were several eager shoppers hovered around store clerks still uncovering unopened boxes of LoL merchandise. Target certainly knows how to launch a new product! I love the colorful, floral and nature-inspired prints and patterns -- and the best part is, they are all available at Target prices. I even found a swimsuit!

In fact, I was so excited by all the great patterns and designs that I created my own "Liberty of London-inspired" Thank You notes now available on my
Social Butterfly Designs website.

And, just for fun, you might like to check out the Liberty of London "Patternality" test on Facebook. I'm a "Mark" followed closely by a "Mrs. Robinson." What are you?

Just Another Trip to the ER!

I couldn't believe it last night when I got the call at 7:15 just minutes after guests had started arriving for my CAbi party. It was my husband telling me to meet him at the Emergency Room because it looks like our youngest daughter Audrey might have broken her arm at basketball practice (tripping over her sister of all things). My heart started to race as I ran out the door just thinking to myself can this possibly be happening again?!? Mind you we have had our share of broken bones in this house over the past several months with 2009 alone holding the record with two broken arms and a broken nose. I couldn't bear the thought of another round of visits to the orthopedic doctor's office, dropping out of sports activities and all the rest...not to mention not being able to take showers or go swimming and all the other things that one with a broken arm has to miss out on.

At the hospital they took x-rays of both her right and left hands and arms BUT, to my great JOY, her arm was NOT broken after all. I can't remember the last time I felt so nervous. It was our first false alarm...yeah! She has splint on it now and we have to got to our doctor for a follow up but it looks like with in a day or two she will be just fine. Whew and thank you Lord is all I can say!
